How do I play the music?
Love Songs uses midi files on some song pages. If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher for Windows, the midi files will automatically download and play. If you're using another browser, the song may play automatically depending on your browser's setup.

If it doesn't play automatically, click on the background song link on the top left corner to open the file in your default midi player.


What is a midi file?
Midi stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. A midi file only gives the sounds of the music instruments and does not have voices.


How do I download the midi file?
Click on the link located in the sidebar in pages that contain midi files. This should automatically open up your default midi player. You can save the file from the program's menu.
Another way is to right-click (when using Windows) or hold down the mouse button (Mac) on the link to the file. This will allow you to save the files to your computer folder of your choice.

(Note: Different browser versions may phrase their menus in a different manner.)

Windows Users:
Netscape Navigator, Netscape 6: Right-click on the mouse and select, "Save Link As...". Choose a folder in your computer to save in.
Microsoft Internet Explorer: Right-click on the mouse and select, "Save Target As...". Choose a folder in your computer to save in.
Other (Opera, Mozilla, Konqueror): Right-click the mouse button on the link to make a menu appear. Choose the option to "save as", in the menu.

Macintosh Users:
Hold down the mouse button on the link until a menu appears. Choose the option to "save as", in the menu.

How do I add these midi files so that it plays automatically on my webpage?
There are many different kinds of browsers out there right now, but this code accounts for the most basic way to reach browsers. Copy the midi file you want to the same folder as your webpage and add these two lines. If you need further help, check out the various resources on the internet.

Where can I find sheet music for these songs?
One free way is to download a program like NoteWorthy Composer. This program lets you open midi files on this site into the program. Use the print function to print out the sheet music!
